concept

Through researches I found out, that the primary school in Nikakenbabanson (Taiwan), where a lot of war wreckage is left, was a japanese army base in the pacific war. I thought to let the aeroplanes fly once more and organized a letter exchange project with the children of the Nishin primary school and Okinawa's Wakasa primary school. But for this time, the planes won't transport war weapons but the children's dreams. I will act as intermediary on both sides. Those paper-planes are named F-36 (the F-35 is engineered right now in America)
The F-36 is on it's way back from Taiwan to Okinawa and waits for a call for Wakashi primary school.
In this project i cross history and art and let childen travel to their mutual future.

artists bio

I was born in a house on the water. Through countless moves and relocations I explored new spaces and possibilities of art. I try to invent a life as a daily workshop. I spend long years in foreign culture enviroment following the credo, that intercultural communication is not possible without art.
